Fun in The SnOw!!

Got our first big SNOW of the year...just in time for Christmas.  The kids were so excited when it started and the next morning couldn't wait to go out and play in it.  Well we all know how long little kids last outside with freezing weather, wind and snow....not very long at all.  Actually it takes longer to bundle them up then they actually stay out.  So I finally got their clothes packed up and decided we would head to the farm to feed cows and then later play in the snow. Papa found an old sled out in the shop and Quincy was soo excited, Jaz wasnt too sure at first but eventually climbed on with him.  Papa was pulling them with the 4wheeler and decided to go up a little hill, well they fell off and that ENDED sledding for Jazmyne haha. Quincy went for a long time till I knocked him off in the field and buried him, poor kid was a snowman but came running up laughing!! It was a great day as always at the farm with my family....

Photo session!!!

This year instead of our ordinary trip to Wichita for pictures inside a studio I decided to do ones outside with a local lady from town!!

SO SO SO SO glad I did too, although our morning started off on a bad note and I ended up not having time to get ready they turned out FABULOUS. She captured the beauty in my kids and I can't get over how awesome they are. So just wanted to share a few of them on here. Qs 5 and Js 3 in them!!

Jazmyne Rose!!

My baby is now longer a "baby". Jazzy is 3 years old but acts 15 haha. She is every bit of her Mothers Daughter I'm told. She has spunk, sweetness and sass but she wouldn't be Jaz if she didn't. All girl she is too, loves doing her hair, painting her nails, putting my makeup on, wearing high heels, playing dress up, has about 10 babies that need fed and diaper changes a lot yet loves going to the farm too.

I love watching her play babies because that was my favorite thing to play growing up...she feeds them, changes diapers and clothes, sings to them, puts lotion or shampoo on them, and tucks them in at night. Sometimes they need spankings and oh how that cracks me up haha. We must be a lot alike because we bump heads a lot already and are both stubborn. I win most of the time but lately its all about picking my BATTLES with her. Just don't have the fight in me somedays so little Miss Sassy Jazzy wins once in awhile!!! God knew what he was doing when he gave her to me because I need her in my life to reassure me that its not always going to be easy and even though I have to be the "mean guy" that they will still LOVE me 2 seconds later. With Q it was easy and laid back, he didn't buck me on things so we had a relaxed bond or maybe I just wasn't wanting to discipline haha. Along came J and things changed, I realized I couldn't always be the "good guy" because I need them to have rules and when those are broken I must not over look it simply because I don't want them to be mad at me or cry. Yes I was that MOM for awhile but now I know that although they may seem mad and yes even cry that when its all said and done they LOVE ME as much as before I got on to them.

Jazmyne will be hopefully going to preschool August 2014 and she CAN NOT WAIT!!! Every morning when we put Q on the big yellow school bus she asks if its time yet for her to go on there?! I hope she loves school as much as she does now when she actually goes. When we practice letters, ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes etc with Q she always has to do it too, which I love!!! She has completed my heart and life for now anyways...Im one BLESSED Momma to have such amazing kids.

Enjoy the pictures of Jaz!!

Quincy Ray!!!

Quincy Ray is now 5 1/2 years old!!! Doesn't seem possible at all but its been one heck of a fun ride with him. He is still my little man who breathes, dreams and LIVES for the FARM! Country is in his heart and I wouldn't want it any other way. He is now in the second year of Preschool and will hopefully go to Kindergarten August 2014 haha fingers crossed anyways :) I'm starting to think that school will be a fight at times only because this little boy has been able to go to the farm since before he could talk and walk. After getting word that he looses focus and gets off on a farm talk while supposed to be learning at school, I used the FARM as a bribe that he wouldn't be going on his normal days if he couldn't be good at school!! So far its WORKED haha, probably not the best but I don't really know what else would have kept him focused.

Q gets to go hang out with Papa and Uncle Derek on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school and he loves every second of it, he is starting to figure out oh hey Mom its FARM day haha. Most little boys play football and basketball or video games with their friends, not my guy you will find him with a rope or two in hand, boots and jeans on, ready to go to "work". He loves to farm, feed cows, help work calves, haul bulls....anything on the farm you can think of Quincy has probably done it. He now tells me he will be a bronc rider when he gets older...this MOMMA isn't so fond of that idea yet but we shall see when the time comes who WINS :)

Quincy became SEIZURE free as of February 2012 and got to be taken off his meds, it was probably the best news to ever hear!! And when I told him he didn't have to take pills anymore his face lit up and he smiled so big. I thank God everyday that he helped my son get through those 2 years and that he is healed up!!! It is so hard to describe what it felt like waiting everyday for him to have even just a small one because it would start time over and I feared that for him everyday. Each passing day without a seizure was a blessing for me and as time went on I learned to let that fear of them coming again out, I knew God would protect him and help us get through whatever came our way. I found my strength through my sons incredible bravery. God truly blessed my life and heart when I became his MOTHER, so blessed to call him my son.

Quincy is my sweet, kind hearted, full of love, tender, emotional, reserved, funny child. He has the BIGGEST heart for a 5 year old..he wants everyone to be happy...LOVES all...gets sad and cries at the smallest things (even movies) he gets that from ME and yet he is reserved and kept to himself unless he knows you. I LOVE ALL THOSE THINGS ABOUT HIM...

Here are some fun photos of Quincy!!

One of many to end the year 2013!!!

Well it's been awhile since I have last blogged so I figured why not end the year with some updates on our lives!!! A lot has happened since 2012, we have been on one incredible journey.

When I signed on to my blogger I couldn't believe the last post was of Jaz turning 1....oh my goodness how she has changed and grown up since then. Hard to believe its been that long ago but its been amazing every second of the way. And Q was 3...now he is 5 1/2 and in his second year of PRESCHOOL!! How is that even possible??!! People always say enjoy them while they are little because they don't stay that way for very long. Oh how true that really is. Still have a hard time believing at times that I've been a Mom now for almost 6 years, its the best thing to ever happen to me!!

2012-2013 came with many changes...I made the decision to take ahold of my life and get HEALTHY, the 3 of us finally have our own HOME, we are HAPPY and HUMBLE with the way things are going for us! I will go into some detail on all those areas in some later blogs!!

HERE WE GO with the updates!! Hope you enjoy them!!

Oh How Time FLYS by...part 2

Jazmyne Rose

Can't believe she is 1 already

She LOVES being in the spotlight
Not only am I a Mother to a 3 year old but also a 1 year old! My baby is turning 1 (tomorrow) and it seems so unreal to me! Jazmyne Rose sometimes there are no words to describe my love for this little girl but oh how she melts my heart. I was always afraid of How can I love 2 kids equally? Well it hasn't even occurred since the moment I heard "she's perfect". I had the pleasure of being with my Mom as I had my second baby, and as she put her hand on my cheek and said oh Brooke she's beautiful just perfect with tears rolling down her face I already LOVED my daughter. Jazmyne was the missing link in my heart and Quincy and I's family. Once I saw her the love grew more intense and even more so when I first got to hold her so close and tight. She nestled right into my neck and at that moment I knew that loving 2 kids was going to be amazing!!! As soon as big brother arrived to check on Momma (left while he was sleeping) and see baby sister my heart let out a big cry. Oh the Joy watching him look at her for the longest time and then holding him in my arms. There was no sweeter moment then having both my babies with me! I have loved watching Jazmyne grow up into a sassy, sweet, loveable, funny, little girl. She has quite the personality and at times gets pretty fiesty but I wouldn't change it for anything. She is her Mothers Daughter :)

Oh How Time FLYS by....

I can't believe that Im the Mother to a 3 year old already...I can still remember the second this sweet baby boy was born. I didn't know how much I could love someone until I became a MOM. That day was the best day of my life, my heart was instantly his the instant the Dr placed him in my arms. Quincy changed my life in so many ways and Im forever grateful God choose me to be his Mother. Q has changed so much over the last 3 years from sweet, shy boy, who didn't talk much to a vibrant, outgoing, very talkative big boy! His love for the farm has continued to grow more and more everyday. Over the last year Quincy inherited his first heifer from his Uncle Dave...black & white cow who Q named OREO :). He has to check her everyday or atleast make sure Papa feeds her cake & pellets. It makes me happy that Quincy enjoys the farm (simple) life and that his only concern right now is if he gets to go feed cows, ride horses, farm, build fence or just simply be with Papa & Uncle Derek!!! Those 2 guys have been a lifesaver to this Momma on many accounts and Im blessed that my son has them to look up to! Papa recently found some lil spurs for Quincy and they haven't been OFF his boots since haha (Notice them in the picture below). I can't wait to see the young man my sweet boy grows up to be! Love ya Quincy Ray 6-27-2008

Check out this cowboy's SPURS!

He is just growing up to fast but Im lovin every second!
